Thoughts and decisions that you make , define you as a person and that is essentially your Karma. Bad Karma is when your life choices have made you into miserable person, a person that you don’t enjoy being.
If you are angry, dissatisfied or unhappy then you have wrong state of mind.
But you can change your state of mind ( your Karma) by changing your goals. If you focus on happiness, brightness and love you will eventually become happier person.
For buddhists a road to changing yourself is to focus on absolutely nothing, that is,to meditate. Meditation transforms your state of mind into something entirely different. In meditation there is no bad karma, no good karma just stillness in all its glory.
Although we cannot know the individual kammas in person, Buddha described them and put them into several types. He also predicted when, why and how will each type react.
To avoid bad karma you must control your actions, these actions are set into these three categories:
1. THREE PHYSICAL ACTS :
- ACTION OF KILING OR INTENTIONALLY HARMING OTHER LIVING BEINGS
- STEALING ( TAKING SOMETHING THAT DOESN’T BELONGS TO YOU )
- MISCONCEPTION OF THE SENSES ( SEXUAL MISCONDUCT )
2. FOUR NEGATIVE ACTS OF SPEECH :
- LYING (SAYING UNTRUTHFUL THINGS)
- SAYING THINGS TO CAUSE CONFLICTS OR SAYING THINGS IN INTENTION
- TO HARM PEOPLE
- SWEARING ( USING HARSH LANGUAGE)
- PETTY TALK ( GOSSIP)
3. THREE NEGATIVE ACTS CAUSED BY MIND
- THINKING ILL OF PEOPLE
- STUBBORNNESS ( HOLDING WRONG VIEWS )
Get rid of past karma
Causes of bad karma are greed ( attachment to worldly things) , ignorance (moha) and anger (dosa). These three together constitute The Three Fires or Unwholesome roots.
If you focus on bad thing such as anger, ignorance and greed you will be born in unfortunate circumstances not having the opportunity to live your life according to the Dharma. We must learn to accept the consequences of our bad actions , and also try to enjoy in the consequences of our good action.
In that way we may alter our future life for good or bad by doing bad or good actions respectively.
Learn to Balance Negativity
If you kill a bug without even noticing its existence, there will be no bad karma or conditioning results. But if you intentionally kill it with anger and disgust, then the habit of violence is reinforced. Also if you intentionally express kindness this will reinforce the habit of kindness. This impacts our behavior , on our actions and beliefs toward other people.
This is also known as the conditioned mind, the mind that does not see the reality. Instead it creates an imagined world influenced by our mental past and historical conditioning.
On the contrary the unconditioned mind sees reality as it is.
Both minds are naturally always present, but for the most of us because the unconditioned mind is less known , we need a teacher to guide us. By stabilizing your unconditional mind your actions become less driven by beliefs, people around you can sense your kindness and eventually your life becomes more happier and enjoyable.
Cleanse Your Aura
Fire is one of the four physical manifestations of God. Water, air and earth are other three. We have already learned something about the air. To be in contact with the element of air we practice pranayama or conscious breathing. Exercising contact with the element of fire you may find the strangest of all, that I have recommended.
The human body has a so-called aura or energetic body, which is located around our physical bodies. Sensitive people can even feel it, and psychics people can see it. Any change in the physical body, whether good or bad, first occurs in the aura.
Illness , for example, is first seen in energetic body (aura),and then in the physical body. Therefore, it would be wise to nurture both of the bodies.
We know that two physical bodies can not occupy the same place at the same time, but that does not apply to the energy of the body that is invisible to the common man.
Peoples auras interfere with each other with communication, in the way that the vibrations of one person move to the other person.
Good vibrations of a good person move to the person which vibrations are worse and vice versa. It is very likely that the result of an encounter of a very cheerful man and a gloomy man would be their mutual average mood. The longer the contact is, the greater the likelihood that this will happen.
And that is exactly what happens in everyday life.
We all like to meet happy, joyfull, honest people with a big smile on their face, because they emit positive vibrations, due to mixing our aura with theirs.
Socializing with pessimists, nudges and dark minded people is tiring because it puts their burden upon our backs.
Secret Technique to Get Rid of Bad Karma
It might have happened to you after a stay in the company of people that you do not like, you come back home tired. You weren’t doing any hard physical work just your aura is getting “dirty”.
People can get “dirty” by socializing with auras of people who have bad thoughts, for example, thoughts about the diseases and poverty. Such bad thoughts are buried in an average man and are radiated outward, projecting it on those who are full of life, and also onto the children.
A simple room with a fireplace can solve, to a great extent, this problem. The fire burns all impurities from the aura.
When I first heard about this, I considered it to be a big waste of time. But we can all agree that fire has a very soothing effect. Most people discover that the presence of fire stops bad activity of the mind.
Suddenly, we are no longer burdened with worries and we realize that we have everything we need. All our desires and ambitions are on standby and we can return to them when ever we want.
However, if you stay too long by the fire, you can seemingly, achieved the opposite effect. Do not be afraid if you experience fatigue or any other unpleasant sensation. It is just that the fire began to penetrate to the deep layers of the aura and began to clean the buildup of emotional and other pollution that we have stored deep inside our aura.
